Hello there!  My name is Melissa.  Welcome to the Fit Mama Diaries.  This has been a long time dream for me to create a blog where women can come and read stories hopefully that will touch something in their lives.  I am a fitness buff.  I love all things fitness.  I am a NASM certified personal trainer, a Precision Nutrition level 1 graduate, and most importantly a mom.  My journey in the fitness world started when I was in middle school (a very long time ago).  I was a runner.  I LOVED to run . I ran my way through high school, college, and into my adult years.  I ran through pregnancies and I ran (even harder) after pregnancies.  As I got older, running got harder.  It was then that I found weightlifting!!!  This became my true passion.  I love the empowered feeling that lifting heavy weight makes me feel.  I feel like I can do anything.  Here at the Fit Mama Diaries I want to share my stories about becoming the Best Self I could be.  Though these stories I want you to feel empowered to become the Best Self you can be.  We are on a journey through life.  We need to appreciate the journey every step of the way.  I hope you enjoy my journeys, the ups and downs, the ins and outs, some pretty some not so pretty.  I hope I can reach through the page and grab something in you that will spark you to become the Best Self you can be.  Happy reading!!
